Flora and Fauna (Alternative Media)

These artworks have evolved from the pre-existing "Alternative Media" series, and specifically highlight the beauty of the natural world. Drawing inspiration from the motifs associated with dragonflies, butterflies and orchids, the series depicts alluring images of plant and animal life. The additions of synthetic elements such as technical schematics and text provide a contrast between biological and built environments. We are reminded of the central role ecology plays in our lives, and of the need to carefully guard the delicate balance between society and nature.
